4. AI Processing and Third-Party Services
Aperture Intelligence uses multiple AI and data services to discover, extract, analyse, and summarise news content for your briefings. Your topic preferences and Executive Lens settings are used to customise these briefings. We do not use your personal data to train AI models. These services only process publicly available news content based on your selected topics.
4.1 AI and Data Service Providers
We use the following third-party services to deliver our platform:
- Anthropic (Claude): AI content analysis, briefing generation, and executive summary creation
- Perplexity AI: News article discovery and company research based on your selected topics
- Firecrawl: Full-text article content extraction from publicly available web pages to enhance AI analysis quality
- OpenAI: Text embedding generation for our knowledge corpus and semantic search capabilities
- Brave Search: Fallback news search when primary search is unavailable
- Google: OAuth authentication (optional)
Your topic preferences, industry, and Executive Lens configuration may be sent to these services as context for personalising your briefings. No personal identifiers (name, email, password) are shared with AI processing services.
4.2 Nature of AI Outputs
AI-generated briefings are provided as analytical aids and should be understood as preliminary drafts requiring human review. Important considerations:
- AI outputs are designed to support, not replace, human decision-making
- Content should be verified against primary sources before acting upon it
- A qualified human should always review and validate AI-generated analysis
- Users remain responsible for independently monitoring current events and market conditions

5. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: With third parties who perform services on our behalf, including Resend (email delivery), Anthropic (AI analysis), Perplexity AI (news discovery), Brave Search (fallback news search), Firecrawl (article extraction), and OpenAI (text embeddings)
- Legal Requirements: If required by law or in response to valid legal processes
- Business Transfers: In connection with any merger, sale of company assets, or acquisition
- With Your Consent: When you have given us explicit permission
6. Infrastructure and Hosting
Our platform is hosted and operated using the following infrastructure providers:
- Vercel: Application hosting and serverless function execution (Asia-Pacific, Singapore region)
- Neon: PostgreSQL database hosting (Asia-Pacific, Singapore region)
Your data is processed and stored in data centres located in the Asia-Pacific region (Singapore). Some third-party AI services may process data in other regions. All data transfers between services are encrypted in transit using TLS.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit and at rest
- Secure password hashing using industry-standard algorithms
- Regular security assessments and updates
- Access controls limiting employee access to personal data
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Generated briefings are retained for 90 days to allow you to access your history. After account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences. We do not use third-party tracking cookies for advertising purposes. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, but this may limit your ability to use certain features of our service.
11. Children's Privacy
